Some ideas on how
your school can raise money to buy subscriptions to Iguana:
- Ask parents, grandparents, relatives to sponsor a subscription for their child in the classroom. This could be a tax deduction for the individual.
- Teachers and students collect gift certificates from the community and sell raffle tickets for $1.00 each. The more you collect and sell, the more subscriptions can be purchased.
- Ask a Latino owned business in the community to sponsor subscriptions in the classroom. This could be a tax deduction for the business.
- Have each student in the class bring $1.00. A class of 30 kids can raise enough for a one year subscription. They can do this as a gift to the incoming class.
- Have a bake sale or lemonade stand in school and sell to other students/faculty.
- Get your PTA/PTO to pay for your school subscriptions.
- Apply for a Wells Fargo Teacher Partner Program grant. More information at their website: https://www.wellsfargo.com/about/charitable/ca_guidelines
