…the new Spanish language children’s magazine Iguana, which stresses the importance of retaining and learning español and celebrates the gift of being bilingual. But it’s not heavy reading. Created by Christianne Meneses Jacobs. Who moved to the United States from Nicaragua when she was 17 and worked her way through ESL classes to become a journalist, the magazine is a light-hearted mix of stories, geography, history, recipes and crafts for kids- sin barreras.
